PT Rail

Brand: Health Craft

Ergonomic safety at hand.

Holds steady.

Rock solid support.

A strong, sturdy and durable flip-up grab bar that is built to last in both the home and commercial bathroom. The rail swings up to rest against the wall when not in use so it saves space, but the rail holds its position – even halfway up – which means it won’t fall down when you don’t expect it to.

FAQs

Can’t Find Your Question Below? Just Chat Us!

  • Does the PT Rail lock when its folded up against the wall?
No. There is not a distinct locking mechanism, the PT Rail features a tension hinge which holds the rail in position (even halfway up). It is not possibly for the rail to inadvertently fall, causing an impact injury.
  • Can the PT Rail be installed outside?
Yes. We only recommend the the stainless steel finish version for outdoor applications. It is built for full wet applications such as wet rooms, showers and humidity. Note: the white finish is carbon steel.
  • Does the whole plate have to secure to the studs? Or is drilling 2 bolts into the stud sufficient?
No. All 4 mounting points of the PT Rail must secure to structural wood. The (supplied) lag bolts must be installed into structural wood framing. If the wall is concrete, appropriate wall anchors and bolts are required (not included).
  • How do I know which PT Rail side or model to order? (Left or Right)
PT Rail’s have offset rails, and therefore left and right models. When sitting on the toilet, the left PT Rail is on your left side, and the right PT Rail is in your right side.
  • Since there is no grip on the PT Rail, will a hand slip on it?
Generally, hands will not slip when using the PT Rail as intended (i.e. pushing downwards on the horizontal rail). If required, consider applying HealthCraft’s Grip Strips (textured tapes) for improved gripping.
