We applied our global R&D capabilities and manufacturing know-how to develop the 4000 to be one of the most flexible stair lifts on the market. This twin-rail model boasts an extremely tight fit of the rail to the wall of just 6″ to leave plenty of room on even a narrow staircase. Our standard capacity 4000 uses fewer support posts for a cleaner look on your stairs, while the high-capacity version can accommodate up to 350 lb without a decrease in performance.

The Handicare 4000 Outdoor twin-rail curved stairlift is fully waterproofed and specially designed for outside stairways with curves. It can be installed wherever you need to access a front walkway, porch, deck, or garden.

Outdoor stairlifts are suitable for moderate climates only, and may require additional maintenance. Always protect your outdoor stairlift with its cover when not in use.

Powerful upgrade options

• Power folding footrest: Choose the powered footrest to eliminate bending down to fold and unfold the footrest.
• Power swivel: With a simple toggle of a switch, the seat turns so you’re safely facing the top landing and not the staircase when getting up from the lift.
• Power folding hinge: If you have an open area or doorway at the base of the stairs, the power hinge keeps the area free and clear of tripping hazards.

See it on your stairs before you buy

Your local Savaria Home Access expert will visit your home to do an assessment and conduct a precision photo measurement session using the Savaria PS4D system. They may even be able to use the system to create a 3D image of your new 4000 on your staircase so you can see how it will look and test out different seat options and color combinations before you make your purchase!

Our engineers then take the data from PS4D to create a computer-aided drawing for custom fabrication in our North American factory. Installation by your local dealer takes a few hours to a full day.
